The Group provides commercial management services for owners of handysize, handymax and panamax vessels. The Bulkhandling and Baumarine pools can offer participants comprehensive risk management, reduced impact of market fluctuations, less positional imbalances, operative hazards and credit risk. The pools have the size and abilities to engage in cargo contracts and to perform more efficient fleet scheduling.

The Group is a long-term industrial carrier with a versatile fleet consisting of geared and gearless tonnage from 20.000 dwt. up to 200.000 dwt. Some of our vessels are particularly designed and equipped to minimise cargo-handling costs while others are designed to serve special trades. We can deliver anything from single dry bulk cargo shipments up to Contracts of Affreightment (COA) of 25 years duration of any annual quantity. Contract duration, yearly quantities, shipment sizes and origin/destinations are tailor made to each customer, and may include freight derivatives, i.e. forward freight agreements (FFA's), options on freight and IMAREX futures.

Technical management, in addition to commercial management, was part of the Group's initial activities. We have developed considerable know-how in respect to crewing and ship maintenance of dry bulk tonnage. We act as technical advisor to other companies and joint ventures within the Group, and recently we have developed a new generation of combination carriers serving the aluminium industry.
