We have just concluded the Operations Meeting for the pool members in Bulkhandling and Baumarine. This time focusing on vessel performance monitoring, new and improved equipment for the cleaning of cargo holds, and how to handle bunker exposure and risk management related to bunkering. In extension of this there was also a discussion on how to cope with regulations and charterparty clauses related to the recent Zika virus.
The Vessel Earning points model for 2017 has been updated, and will determine the distribution of pool earnings for the next year. The 2017 model will be ratified at the Pool Meetings in London on December 6th.
In connection with the Pool Meetings in London we will be hosting the Klaveness Forum with presentations of the dry bulk market, changing industry trends and our need to prepare for disruptive changes and digitization.
