We are currently operating and developing the most CO2 efficient transportation system in the world through Klaveness Combination Carriers and seeking people with the right mindset and attitudes to support the necessary further improvements on our fleet in the years to come.

Project Manager -
Energy efficiency and decarbonization projects

Are you a highly skilled technical person with the passion to drive bold transformation initiatives? In this role you will be developing and managing smaller and larger technical energy efficiency projects for our existing fleet.  Your role will be to enable the organization to maximize the benefit of new technologies into our existing vessels through retrofits and secure safe handover to technical operation. The position is based in Oslo and will report to Head of Projects & Business Transformation.  

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Be a change agent that drives innovation and transformation in KSM.

  • Discover and evaluate new solutions and technologies.

  • Manage prioritized projects from start to implementation.

  • Secure successful installation and handover to operations and crew.

  • Promote and document the value of change and guide and support the organization through the change.

  • Facilitate workshops and design work processes together with colleagues with domain expertise, both ship- and shore-based.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Higher education (MSc) in a technical subject, preferably naval architect or marine engineering.

  • Preferably 5 years’ experience, preferably from the maritime or offshore industry.

  • Experience with larger technical projects and project management processes.  

  • Experience with change management processes is an advantage.

 Personal qualities:  

  • Strategic and analytical mindset.

  • Progressive thinker.

  • Able to bridge the gap between strategic ambitions and day-to-day technical operation.

  • Able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient and transparent way.  

  • Team player with the ability to work independently. 

  • Be able to communicate with the domain experts in the company.
