Product Manager - Data Platform, Klaveness Digital

With great ambitions, we need great people!

Klaveness Digital is a Norwegian tech company transforming global shipping and supply chains. As the innovation engine of the Klaveness Group, we develop a diverse portfolio of digital solutions that empower some of the world’s largest industrial companies to solve real-world supply chain challenges and make smarter, data-driven decisions.

By combining advanced analytics, real-time data, and user-centered design, our solutions tackle the complexities of maritime logistics to drive impactful change. At Klaveness Digital, we embrace creativity, collaboration, and bold ideas, creating a dynamic environment where your work will make a difference.

Would you like to join us on our mission to redefine and improve the nature of shipping?

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of our Data Platform, the foundation that underpins our current and future digital products.

Our Data Platform combines multiple maritime and supply chain data sources (e.g. operational, commercial, AIS and emissions data) into structured, scalable, and reliable building blocks used across our product portfolio. It is central to our long-term strategy, product scalability, and future growth.

This is a foundational, high-impact position where you will shape the architecture, direction, and governance of the data capabilities that power our business.

You will work closely with developers, product and innovation managers, designers, and commercial colleagues to ensure our platform evolves in a scalable, resilient, and strategically aligned way. You will balance short-term needs with long-term integrity and make decisions that protect both product velocity and architectural quality.

As a small and ambitious organisation, we value people who think holistically. In this role, that may also include contributing operationally, for example, participating in data modelling discussions, defining data contracts, or in some cases contributing hands-on to pipeline design or validation. While this is primarily a Product Manager role, technical depth and comfort working close to code and data is a strong advantage.

The position is based in Oslo and involves interaction across time zones, as we have offices in Oslo, Dubai, Singapore and a global customer base.

You will:

  • Own and define the product vision and roadmap for the Data Platform, alongside the Head of Product and Head of Technology

  • Translate business and product needs into scalable data capabilities

  • Work closely with developers on architecture, data modelling, APIs, and integrations

  • Ensure high-quality documentation, clarity of data definitions, and long-term maintainability

  • Act as a guardian of platform integrity when evaluating customer-driven requests

  • Contribute to strategic discussions related to scalability, M&A readiness, and future product opportunities

  • Collaborate across product and innovation teams to ensure the platform supports multiple use cases effectively

  • Identify, assess, and manage partnership opportunities that can help move us forward

We believe you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably within SaaS or platform products (or can demonstrate equivalent experience)

  • Have experience working with data-intensive systems, APIs, or platform products

  • Understand system architecture, data modelling, and technical trade-offs at a meaningful level

  • Are comfortable challenging short-term solutions that compromise long-term scalability

  • Bring strong analytical and structured thinking

  • Are curious about business domains and understand that deep domain knowledge drives better product decisions

  • Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

  • Communicate clearly and confidently in English (our working language)

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field

It is a strong bonus if you also bring:

  • Experience working on data platforms, analytics products, or infrastructure-layer products

  • Hands-on technical experience (e.g. data engineering, development, building data pipelines)

  • Experience working in supply chain, logistics, maritime, or other complex operational domains

  • Experience in a small, fast-moving SaaS organisation

  • Experience balancing commercial pressure with architectural discipline

Why this role matters
In a growing SaaS company like Klaveness Digital, strong foundations are critical. The Data Platform is not just a support function, it is the backbone of our products and a key enabler of future innovation and strategic growth.

In this role, you will have real influence on how our technology evolves, how scalable our products become, and how we position ourselves for the future.

We offer an exciting job in an international and progressive company with strong ambitions. You will be part of a highly skilled, supportive team and work in an environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth.

If this sounds like a great opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Please your application letter and CV. If you have worked on a data-intensive product or platform you are particularly proud of, feel free to include a short description of your contribution.

As this position is based in Oslo, we are only considering candidates who reside in Norway and can work from our Oslo office.

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Questions can be directed to Head of Product, Sophie Knudtzon (mobile  +47 959 18 116). All contact will be treated in full confidence.
