Klaveness’ unique platform of businesses spans from the listed Klaveness Combination Carriers, commercial and technical services through Klaveness Ship Management, a world leading Dry Bulk operator and manager, as well as digitalization and decarbonization specialization from Klaveness Digital and ZeroLab. With big ambitions and a substantial investment capacity, in April 2022 we strengthened our Executive Management Team with two new Investment Directors to drive growth and development towards our strategic ambition of making seaborne supply chains resilient, decarbonized, and cost-effective.

As Chief Strategic Investment Officer, Gøran Andreassen brings more than 20 years of experience across private equity, investment banking, and industry positions. Andreassen joins Klaveness from the role as Senior Partner in OMP Capital and prior to that, Partner in Hitec Vision, where he served on the Board of multiple portfolio companies during his seven years with the private equity investor. Previous positions include Partner with Clarksons Platou, as well as various managerial and engineering roles in DNV and Aker Solutions.

As CSIO, Andreassen adds new competence and capability to Klaveness and will work on developing existing businesses, catalyzing new growth initiatives organically, and drive M&A to deliver on Klaveness’ strategic ambitions.

Following the career switch to Klaveness, Andreassen says: “It is a privilege to be part of one of the world’s most pioneering shipping companies and to play a key role in the further development of our market leading business units. I am truly excited to join a great team of highly dedicated colleagues committed to making a positive contribution to society by improving the nature of shipping.”

Completing the Investment Team as Chief Financial Investment Officer is Nadia Næss, who joins Klaveness from Investment Director roles at DNB Asset Management and Jebsen Asset Management, where she specialized in investment and asset management, with a particular focus on Private Equity. She started her career as a Financial Analyst at Grieg Shipping Group.

As CFIO, Næss will work closely with the CEO and the Board on the financial investments in Klaveness and be overall responsible for the financial portfolio, free liquidity, financing, and risk exposure of the company.

On getting started at Klaveness, Næss comments: “With a background as a principal in DNB and from two companies representing a similar group structure to Klaveness, I am pleased to bring a unique combination of experience of conducting financial investments in family-owned companies. By leveraging my wide network in the financial sector, I look forward to working with the investment portfolios of the Group to create further value for Klaveness.”
