At Klaveness, our values influence how we navigate complexity and make decisions, and in her role as Chief Investment Officer - Financial Investments, Nadia Næss explains what Craftsmanship and Curiosity looks like in her daily work.
Nadia consistently draws on deep market knowledge while actively challenging the conventional playbook. In a discipline where many follow a ‘buy and hold’ strategy, Nadia and her team take a different path: “Staying liquid, remaining diversified, and keeping the flexibility to move when there are attractive opportunities in the financial markets”.
This approach requires both discipline and drive. It’s a constant loop of learning, reassessing, and adjusting the portfolio based on what’s happening globally. For Nadia, this is craftsmanship in practice: “Knowing the details, tracking the shifts, and always sharpening our edge.”
But it’s also about staying curious. It’s about asking why we do things the way we do and whether there’s a different way forward. Nadia likes to taps into her wide network for fresh insights while keeping an open mind on potential investment opportunities.
“We’re not afraid to go against the grain,” adds Nadia. “Being contrarian means staying alert, keeping optionality, and always being ready to act. It’s about seeing the opportunities others might miss because we’re constantly looking. We also like to test new products and strategies, so our "Try a little, learn a lot" motto at Klaveness is definitely something we use a lot".
That mindset, rooted in expertise and open thinking, is helping Klaveness stay agile and forward-looking across cycles.
