Vacancy in Manila: Know-Your-Counterparty (KYC) and Risk Analyst

Klaveness Shore Services, Inc. (KSSI) is currently seeking to fill a challenging role in Risk Management. KSSI is a PEZA registered IT Export Enterprise, engaged in the business of providing outsourcing services and business process outsourcing services, specifically: accounting, information technology, and commercial operations to shipping enterprises, organizations, entities and companies in the foreign market.

About the role:

The Know-Your-Counterparty (KYC) and Risk Analyst will execute counterparty onboarding, which includes KYC analysis and managing counterparty information in various company systems (e.g. SAP). The role will also involve quality control of contracts in the freight market and back-up resource for other activities performed by the Risk Management department. The role requires close cooperation across the global organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of counterparty information into relevant systems, including the Vessel Management System, Accounting System, and Risk Management Systems.

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of counterparty information to ensure data integrity and minimize fraud risk. This includes the proper storage and management of data generated during KYC requests and the follow-up of bilateral commitments (e.g., NDAs, data deletion, and updates).

    • Daily support to Risk Manager for conducting sanction checks and adverse media screening to investigate the risk of counterparties being in violation of relevant sanction regimes, laws and regulation or Klaveness Codes of Conducts and/or business ethics.

    • Collaborate with account managers to obtain the minimum required standard of information for effective KYC screening, assessment, and high-quality data input.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines in performing KYC analysis and data management.

  • Execute reconciliation of freight derivatives contracts to ensure correct representation in company systems. (i.e. Risk System, Vessel Management System and SAP)

  • Work closely with relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate updates and corrections across all applicable systems.

  • Back-up Risk Managers on counterparty risk and Integrity Due Diligence/KYC during periods of leave or high workloads.

  • Serve as a backup resource for other tasks within the Risk Management department.

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related course.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in compliance, KYC-related roles, accounting/auditing, business/financial controlling, or credit analysis.

  • Strong data analysis skills preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and vessel management systems is an advantage.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.

  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and professional integrity.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information and documents.

  • Curious and open-minded, with the confidence to seek assistance when needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.

  • Working language is English
