Cloud Architect & Operations Lead
Klaveness is seeking a proactive and engaged Cloud Architect & Operations Lead to strengthen the data platform team at our headquarters in Oslo. As our Cloud Architect & Operations Lead, you will be part of a small but highly competent professional environment. Our data platform team is responsible for providing the organization with easy to consume data for all our analytics, dashboard and AI use cases.
You will report to the Head of IT and work closely with the Data Architect, colleagues in the IT department, as well as with developers across the business areas. The role offers a high degree of variety in tasks and will evolve in line with both the company’s and your own development.
Responsibilities:
Architect and maintain cloud and service frameworks for digital products and data solutions.
Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
Govern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards, configuration, and version control across environments.
Lead formal testing, release documentation, and pre-production readiness reviews.
Operate and monitor all deployed solutions to guarantee availability, security, and performance.
Drive cost optimization and continuous performance tuning of the cloud estate.
Act as a technical partner for development teams, enabling smooth onboarding and lifecycle management of their services.
Qualifications:
Higher education in Computer Science, preferably at master’s level
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, architecture or operations roles on platforms such as Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and incident management tools for cloud environments.
Familiarity with data integration patterns, APIs, and microservices architecture.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Fluent in Norwegian
