KSSI is a PEZA registered IT Export Enterprise, engaged in the business of providing outsourcing services and business process outsourcing services, specifically accounting, information technology, and commercial operations to shipping enterprises, organizations, entities and companies in the foreign market.

MARINE ACCOUNTANT – HIRE DESK

About the role:

The Marine Accountant – Hire Desk shall be responsible for the control of assigned voyages; ensures no discrepancies on Dataloy and SAP voyage results when closing; responsible in ensuring that all hire invoicing and payment are done in accordance with the contract; and ensures that all other accounting-related transactions for assigned voyages are done in Dataloy in a timely manner. The role works closely with ship operators, chartering/traders, and finance/accounting to ensure contractual compliance and timely financial processing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Issue hire invoices to charterers and ensure collection of payment.

  • Process timely hire payment to owners.

  • Responsible in posting various costs and revenue in Dataloy.

  • Process broker’s commission payment and serve as final approver of vendor invoices in Readsoft to ensure timely payment.

  • Ensure that Dataloy result is the same as SAP result before closing the voyage in Dataloy.

  • Support the operators when needed in a satisfactory way.

  • Handle reconciliation of accounts.

  • Liaise with brokers, owners and charterers.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant accounting education in college/university

  • Meaningful experience in accounting especially AR and AP; marine accounting or shipping experience is an advantage

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and commercial agreements

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Able to work independently as well as in team

  • Work according to high ethical standards

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

  • Multi-cultural understanding
