We are looking for an active student with maritime and shipping interests for an exciting, challenging and different summer internship for the summer of 2027.
The internship will start at the head office in Oslo with an introduction to the Torvald Klaveness group, Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) and Klaveness Ship Management by OSM Thome (KSM), and preparations for sailing and life onboard.
The next 6-10 weeks will be on board one of KCC’s globally trading combination carriers. The student will receive a defined training program spanning over all the departments and systems when onboard, and the candidate will also be involved in specific projects from the HQ in Oslo to be followed up from the vessel. The specific vessel will be selected based on the fleets’ schedule and trading pattern.
The right candidate must be genuinely interested in learning from practical experience, show interest and respect for other cultures, and in general be positive and open to challenges underway. The candidate must have completed the 2nd year or higher of an integrated master program in engineering, alternatively have succeeded in acquiring a bachelor’s degree in engineering and is entering a Master program.
